There's nothing quite like snuggling up with a cozy blanket on a chilly winter's day. Whether you're wrapping yourself up in a blanket to stay warm or using one to decorate your home, they're always a welcome addition.
Baby blankets can also be a source of comfort. Whether it's a security blanket they've had since they were a baby or something that they always take with them on road trips, blankets can provide a lovely sense of security and familiarity.
If you're looking for the perfect blanket for your child, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, consider what material you want. Cashmere and organic cotton/cashmere are both lovely choices.
Next, think about what size you need. When our founder was pregnant with Milo, she struggled to find the perfect sized cashmere blanket: they were either too small or too thin. And, that's why our cashmere blankets are 6 ply and our organic cotton cashmere blankets are 8 ply thick. We LOVE a cozy thick blanket.
PLUS, they are big too: 100cm x 60cm helping you to stay nice and warm on those cold winter nights. And, then you can use it to watch telly on the sofa at night once your Little Ones no longer need it.
And, that's why everyone is winner if you invest in a good quality blanket.
Plus, it's all made to last! In fact, we strongly believe in buying less, choosing well and then handing it all down to the next sibling, cousin and ultimately, the next generation. After all, there is no planet B, and surely our children and the Earth which they will inherit deserve only the best.
The Stevensons have been working in the woollen industry for well over a century. It started with Herbert Stevenson who used to run a woollen mill producing his own brand of Scottish tweeds on the outskirts of Edinburgh. When Drummond joined the firm, their brand of Macnab tweeds was sold throughout Europe and the US. Peter then added cashmere to the mix. Peter first went up to Inner Mongolia over 40 years ago and the Stevensons have been working with the same cashmere partners up there ever since.
